Bio
An internationally-known movie star Kim Cattrall saw the light in the Mossley Hill in a family that is not connected to show-business. Her mother Gladys was a secretary and father Dennis an engineer. When a future star turned 3 months old, the family moved to Canada but after 12 years returned to the UK and settled down in London. At the capital, a young starlet began attending the London Academy for Music and the Dramatic Arts. Having finished high school, she made a decision to relocate to New York to pursue an acting career professionally. There, she entered AADA and was noticed by a renowned director, who cast her in Rosebud in 1975. That’s exactly how the actress’ career in the filmmaking industry started.
Several years after that she signed a contract with Universal Studios and began regularly appearing on TV, playing in movies and television series, e.g. Police Academy, Unforgettable, Honeymoon Academy, etc.
However, what really brought her worldwide fame and recognition is participation in popular romantic comedy-drama TV series Sex and the City, where she played Samantha Jones since 1998 and up till 2004.
Throughout Cattrall’s career, she starred in over 50 successful TV projects and keeps featuring on a big screen till present days.
