A widely-known film star Bruce Willis was delivered to his mother, who was German and American father, who was a soldier. The two met in West Germany and that’s where the actor drew his first breath. The celebrity also has three younger siblings.
When a future star turned about 2 years old, his father left the military and the family relocated to New Jersey.
As a child, Bruce was stuttering and at times, was literally unable to speak. In order to deal with it, he started attending theatrical classes which helped him a lot. Having finished high school, he entered Montclair State College but dropped out in 1977 and moved to New York. There, he began appearing in TV commercials as well as playing Off-Broadway roles.
The main breakthrough in the actor’s path to prominence happened when he starred in a popular television series called Moonlighting that had been lasting since 1985 till 1989. In 1988 Willis featured in a legendary action film Die Hard which made him a Hollywood star overnight.
The film performer has been a part of the moviemaking industry for over four decades during which appeared in dozens of successful TV projects. To name just a few: The Fifth Element, The Siege, Pulp Fiction, The Sixth Sense, etc.
