A gifted singer Halsey was welcomed in New Jersey to her parents Nicole and Chris. Her mother works in the security business and her father Chris manages a car dealership. The family also includes two brothers named Dante and Sevian.

She finished Warren Hills Regional High School, where she learnt to play the violin, viola, violoncello and an acoustic guitar. At the age of 17 she started writing songs and uploaded them on the Internet. Her song Ghost was heard by five recording companies that immediately offered her a contract. She chose to sign a contract with Astralwerks.

In 2014 she presented her debut album called Room 93. The result turned out to be quite contradictory. The main breakthrough in Halsey’s career happened after the release of the second album Badlands that quickly turned platinum.

Apart from developing a solo career, the singer also collaborates with other well-known artists. To name just a few: Justin Bieber, The Chainsmokers, Bleachers, Sia and others.
