A gifted singer and songwriter Blake Shelton drew his first breath in Oklahoma to his parents Dorothy and Richard. His mother used to run a beauty salon, while the father was a car salesman.
He started singing at a young age and at 12 could already play the guitar. After graduating from high school, he relocated to Nashville to pursue a music career professionally. As soon as he got there, he began selling his own songs to different artists and later signed his first contract with Giant Records. In 2002 the singer presented his debut album called Austin that became golden within a short period of time. One year later, Blake introduced the second album The Dreamer that was also positively accepted by millions of fans as well as critics. Throughout his path in the music world, he managed to present 11 successful studio albums, 4 EPs and 50 singles.
