Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert

A look back at a relationship

A gifted country singer Blake Shelton started falling in love with a remarkable singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert during their mutual performance for the televised CMT 100 Greatest Duets Concert in 2005. However, at that time he was married and so, it felt wrong having romantic feelings for another woman. It would be also interesting to know that Miranda fell for Blake within a blink of an eye, even though she knew he had a wife.

Becoming official

In 2006 Shelton divorced from his wife Gern and started officially seeing Lambert. Both celebrities knew it wouldn’t be easy to build a strong union, as it is quite challenging being in a relationship when both partners are artists. However, they did their best and it initially worked for some time.

Popping the question and walking down the aisle

After four years of dating, the singer popped the question to his second half and of course, she said –yes. It happened in May 2010 when both of them were at Lambert’s home in Oklahoma.

According to the People magazine, the two lovebirds got married at Don Strange Ranch in May 2011. The wedding was attended by family, closest friends as well as many recognized performers, including Kelly Clarkson, Josh Kelley and others.

Troubles in paradise

When Blake was offered work as a coach at a popular TV show The Voice, there started appearing first problems, as he began spending a lot of time in California, which meant a long-distance relationship. In 2013 there started spreading rumors about the pair’s separation. In addition, many sources were claiming that Shelton was romantically involved with a singer, Cady Groves.

Divorce

The couple divorced in 2015 without announcing the reason. Today, both of them found other partners and are happy in their private lives.
