Bio
A worldwide-known musician, actor and writer Ricky Martin drew his first breath in the capital of Puerto Rico to his father Enrique, who is a psychologist and mother Nereida, who is an accountant.
As a child, a future star featured in over 10 commercials and at the age of 13 became a part of a boy band called Menudo. The group toured around South America, where it became extremely popular. However, after four years of its existence, fame began fading and Ricky made a decision to leave the band.
At 17 he relocated to America and almost immediately got an offer from a Mexican theatre as well as a recording studio. The celebrity eagerly accepted both offers and started playing in a musical Mama Ama el Rock, telenovela Alcanzar una estrella, General Hospital, etc.
As for his path in the music industry, he signed a contract with Sony Music Entertainment and in 1991 presented the debut album Ricky Martin that got golden status not only in South America but also in the US. Throughout the artist’s career, he can boast of introducing 10 studio albums, 7 compilation albums and 2 live albums. In addition to that, he also collaborated with such popular performers as Madonna, Pitbull, Maluma and many others.
