2009: first meeting on a set of a film

A worldwide known artist Miley Cyrus met a relatively unknown film performer Liam Hemsworth during the shooting of The Last Song. The chemistry sparked between the two within a blink of an eye and they started seeing each other in 2009.

2010: first public appearance as a couple

Even though everybody knew they were a real deal, they became an official pair only in March 2010, having come at the premiere of The Last Song together. However, in August the celebrities went separate ways to reunite just within a month.

2012: engagement time

The year 2011 was very busy for these two love birds in terms of work. However, they kept going strong as a union and in June 2012 Liam popped the question with a 3.5- carat diamond ring. At that time he was 22 and Miley 19. But the age didn’t really matter as they were crazy in love.

2013: troubles in paradise

A year after the engagement, there began spreading rumors about the couple’s breakup, as the singer was noticed without a ring. In April, the People magazine reported that the two postponed the wedding but were still engaged and lived together. As soon as everything got back to normal, Cyrus suddenly unfollowed her boyfriend on Twitter. Right after that it was confirmed that their engagement was called off.

2016: three years apart

In January of 2016 the two love birds were spotted having a good time at a music festival in Australia with Cyrus wearing her old engagement ring.

2018: secret wedding and divorce

Miley and Liam got secretly married in Nashville, in December 2018. Unfortunately, in August of the same year they announced their separation. In such a way, their marriage lasted less than a year and was officially over in January 2020.
