He was raised in New Jersey by father Bruce and mother Rhonda, who was a teacher. While at high school he began dancing and turned to be a professional having graduated from the Performing Arts School.

Max made his acting debut in 2004, at the age of 13. It was a short film called One Easy Job. Soon after that he got another role as a lead dancer in High School Musical 3: Senior Year, where he clearly demonstrated his dancing skills. Ever since then his professional career boomed and he was getting one offer after the other one. In such a way, he starred in such well-known TV projects as The Pregnancy Pact, Ugly Betty, The Young and Restless and many others.

Apart from the moviemaking industry, Max is also passionate about music and he is a lead singer of the Social Network band.
