Bio
A worldwide-known movie star Matthew Perry drew his first breath in Massachusetts. His mother Suzanne worked as a journalist and press secretary, while his father John was an actor. When his parents divorced he moved with mother to Canada, where he was enrolled at Rockcliffe Park Public School and then Ashbury College. While being a student, a future star was passionate about tennis a lot and even took part in a number of competitions. It would be interesting to know that he was going to pursue career in sports, yet he later understood that he wasn’t good enough at it. That’s why he focused on acting and theatre in particular.
His path in the entertainment industry began from performances on a stage and later he started appearing on TV. He debuted on a big screen in 1979 in an episode of TV series called 240-Robert. After that he featured in Not Necessarily the News, Charles in Charge, Silver Spoons, Boys Will Be Boys, etc. However, what really helped him rise to prominence is his character Chandler Bing in super popular television series Friends that had been lasting for 10 seasons since 1994 and up till 2004.
The actor’s other successful works include: The Whole Ten Yards, The Ron Clark Story, 17 Again and many others.
Today, Perry remains a popular film star, who can be seen on stage, TV and even Broadway.
