Matt Pokora

A famous performer and songwriter with Polish roots Matt Pokora drew his first breath in Strasburg. His parents Andre and Brigitte divorced when a future star was 12 years old. The family also includes an older brother.

It would be interesting to know that as a kid, Matt was very passionate about football and even considered becoming a professional player like his father. However, he later changed his mind and opted for music, as it was also of a big interest for him.

He got passionate about music at an early age and as a teen was a member of a group called Mic Unity. However, what really brought him worldwide fame and recognition is his participation in Popstars. Along with two other participants of the show, Matt created a band Linkup that released one album and three singles. Unfortunately, in 2004 the group broke up and Pokora started a solo career.

His debut album was very successful. In 2006 he introduced the second one titled Player that was also positively accepted by the public as well as professional critics.

Achieved popularity helped the artist to work on a third album with such well-known celebrities as Timbaland, Ryan Leslie and others.
