A famous actress Kristen Wiig was welcomed in New York. Her father Jon used to run a lake marina and her mother Laurie is an artist. When a future star turned 3, the family moved to Pennsylvania, where Kristen grew up.
It would be interesting to know that she never dreamt of becoming a part of the moviemaking industry. Instead she wanted to build a successful career in the medical sphere. That’s why, having finished Rochester’s Brighton High School, she entered Roanoke College to study psychoanalysis. However, after just one year of studies, she left and became a student at the University of Arizona as an art student. There, she enrolled in her first acting classes and fell in love with it. In the late 1990s she moved to Los Angeles and joined the improv comedy group called The Groundlings.
