A comedian couple
An internationally known stand-up comedian and actor Kevin Hart and a film performer and entrepreneur Torrei Hart got to know each other in 2001, while studying at a local Community College in Philadelphia, where they are both from. Their passion and love for comedy brought them together and so, they both started building careers in the entertainment business by moving to LA.
Married life and kids
After eight months of being together, the two lovebirds got engaged. In May 2003 they had a beautiful wedding ceremony. In 2005 they welcomed their firstborn, a daughter Heaven and three years later, a son Hendrix joined the family.
Kevin’s career was first to take off while Torrei devoted all her time to kids’ upbringing and taking care of the family. Year after year, the actor was getting more and more popular in the show-business, appearing in successful movies, TV shows and stand up specials. All this led to certain problems and the marriage suffered considerably, as Torrei could only get a few roles here and there. Her professional delay resulted in relationship issues.
Why did they really divorce?
According to many sources, the main reason for the pair’s separation in 2010 was Torrei’s inability to build a prosperous career. From the other side, according to the People magazine, the ex-wife shared that Hart cheated on her in 2009 with a model Eniko Parrish. However, while filing for divorce, they cited irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalized in 2011. Despite it, the ex-lovers have joint custody of their two children.
