Jessie J

An extraordinary singer Jessie J was welcomed in the London Borough of Redbridge. It would be surprising to know that prior to music, she was very much interested in dancing and even attended ballet classes, modern choreography and even step dance.

Together with her two older sisters she studied in a regular school but then went to Colin’s Performing Arts School. There she learnt acting and singing which helped her during the competition among teenagers called Britain’s Brilliant Prodigies, where she won first place at the age of 15. After the victory she definitely knew she wanted to become a worldwide known singer and began moving that way, having entered the BRIT School.

The artist’s professional career began with cooperating with a recording company Gut Records but it went bankrupt and Jessie J didn’t release anything with them. Then she began working with Sony ATV and wrote songs for such celebrities as Miley Cyrus, Chris Brown and others.

In parallel with that she worked on her YouTube channel and MySpace, where she uploaded her own singles. In such a way she was noticed by the president of Lava Records and that’s when she finally started releasing her own albums.

Nowadays, the artist can boast of 5 studio albums as well as multiple awards. In addition, she won a Chinese vocal show The Singer, was a mentor at British and Australian versions of The Voice and took part in Saturday Night Live.
