Bio
A gifted pop singer, songwriter, film performer and reality television star, Jessica Simpson was delivered in Texas, where she grew up with a younger sister. Her mother Tina was a housewife and father Joseph worked as a minister.
As a child, she began singing in a church choir and at 12 auditioned for The Mickey Mouse Club. She managed to get through to the semi-finals but didn’t make it to the final. After that she kept singing in a choir until she was discovered by Proclaim Records label. Jessica even cut the debut album that wasn’t unfortunately released, as the label went bankrupt. However, her songs attracted the attention of Tommy Mottola, who was the head of Columbia Records and soon, they started collaborating. In 1999 the singer presented her first single called I Wanna Love You Forever that brought her fame and recognition. Then she introduced the first album Sweet Kisses that became platinum. In total, she released 7 successful studio albums, 15 singles and 15 music videos.
Apart from the music industry, Simpson also tried her hand in acting and featured in such TV projects as Blonde Ambition, The Love Guru, Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous, etc.
