A well-known movie star Jeremy Irons saw the light in Cowes to his father Paul, who worked as an accountant and mother Barbara, who was a housewife. Also, the celebrity has two siblings.
A future star attended Sherborne School. In addition to that he also loved playing drums as well as harmonica. However, his main interest was acting. And even though acting was his passion, he never planned to pursue a professional career in the filmmaking industry.
Due to the fact that he loved animals a lot, he wanted to become a vet. Nonetheless, his plans changed when he didn’t enter a vet school and in order to make some money, started working in a theatre as a property master. The atmosphere in a theatre inspired him so much that he began attending the Bristol Old Vic Theater School in England. Having studied there for 2 years, he moved to London and soon got his first role in a Roadhouse theatre.
Along with that, he also tried his hand on TV and in 1981 debuted on a big screen in television series Brideshead Revisited. After that he could be seen in The Wild Duck, The Captain’s Doll, Australia, Chinese Box and many other projects. Nowadays, his filmography contains roughly 70 works, the most recognized of which are: House of Gucci, Love, Wedding & Other Disasters, Justice League, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Borgias, etc.
