Bio
A widely-known film performer and producer Ellen Pompeo saw the light in Massachusetts to her parents Kathleen and Joseph. When she was four her mother died and soon her dad married another woman.
There wasn’t always enough money in a family and so, a future star began helping the family financially, working in the nearest bar.
Soon after she earned enough money for a ticket to New York, where she started working at the SoHo Bar & Grill. There, she was noticed by a casting director, who offered her to try her hand in acting and ads in particular. This work didn’t bring her a lot of money, yet she got the experience of being in front of the camera. In addition to that, she made a few acquaintances with the help of which she got her debut role in Law & Order in 1996. In 2001 she relocated to LA, where at first, she was getting only minor roles. However, a year later everything changed, as she was invited to feature in Moonlight Mile. Soon after, she could be seen in Catch Me If You Can, Daredevil, Nobody’s Perfect, etc.
However, what really brought her international fame and recognition is her participation in Grey’s Anatomy, where she had been starring since 2005 and up till present moment.
