Bio
A famous comedy star and a TV host Bill Maher drew his first breath in New York. His mother Julie worked as a hospital nurse, while his father William was first a news editor on a radio station and later became its director. A future star spent his childhood in a city called River Vale in New Jersey, where he studied at Pascack Hills School. After that Bill entered the University and earned a degree in English and history.
His professional path in the entertainment business began with comedy improvisation and acting auditions. In 1979 he started performing in one of the New York clubs called Catch a Rising Star. Three years later, Maher began appearing in David Letterman’s and John Carson’s TV shows. This gave him unbelievable experience and soon he introduced his own show called Politically Correct that had been lasting since 1993 and up till 2002. When it was closed, he created a new one and titled it Real Time with Bill Maher. It has been broadcasting on HBO since 2003 and up till present days.
Apart from that, the celebrity is also known for his roles in D.C. Cab, Out of Time, Tomcats and several other films and TV series.
